Meet Our Instructors


Byron Dresner
A teacher with a State secondary school certification, Byron has a good understanding of the unique teaching strategies that help teenagers learn how to drive safely. Previously, he was a driving instructor for AAA before it closed its program. Byron often teaches at the Friend’s Central School in Wynnewood, PA, in addition to his several years at Cantor’s Driving School.

Gaetano Bosco
Gaetano has driven over 700,000 miles safely throughout the East Coast driving commercial vehicles as well as school buses in Montgomery County. Since 2005 he has been training sport and police K9 dogs and in 2008 completed a 40 hour emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC) in Pennsylvania. For over 17 years, Gaetano has been working part time as a DJ entertaining hundreds of teenagers during high school social events as well as weddings. He enjoys teaching the safety of driving to all ages and experience levels.
Tim Shay
Tim graduated from the State Police Academy in Hershey, Pennsylvania in 1984, and then worked for 25 years as a State Trooper in Chester County. In addition to his patrol duties, Tim conducted Pennsylvania driver’s exams when this function was performed by the State Police. Tim is a two-time recipient of the State Police Safe Driver Award.

Mindy Collett
A lifetime resident of the Delaware County area, Mindy is married with two children, one attending college and the other a recent graduate She attended both Philadelphia College of Art and Delaware Community College. After retiring from a twenty year career in the airline industry with years of customer service experience and training new applicants for the airline industry, she now enjoys volunteering with youth groups. She has successfully run her own small business. Mindy brings a passion to her teaching with patience and safe driving practices to both teenagers and adults.

Mike Haig
Mike is a Police Patrol Supervisor with a Montgomery County Police Department. He has been with the department since 1989 and has served as a field training officer, firearms instructor and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team. He is a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School and Montgomery County Community College. Mike has served as a Deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

Michael Spornak
Michael is a Police Officer with a Montgomery County Police Department. He is a firearms instructor and a field training officer and formerly a member of the Regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team. He has been in law enforcement since in 1993 and has worked for the Norristown and Warrington Police Departments. Michael was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania and has served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.

Jeffrey Taroski
Jeffrey is a 2005 graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and currently works as a State Trooper in Philadelphia. As a Trooper, Jeffrey has taken several advanced driver training programs offered by the State Police at their new Driver Training Center. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Temple University and a Masters Degree from Saint Joseph's University. Jeffrey believes that quality driver instruction is essential for the safe operation of a vehicle on the highway.
